In this challenging position, you determine the purchasing department’s strategy with the manager Purchasing and Logistics. You set clear objectives for the department and ensure that these are achieved. You conclude contracts with new and existing suppliers, where you negotiate prices, delivery times, warranty and liability. Based on technical specifications, you order products, answer supplier questions and, if necessary, look for suitable alternatives. For the projects, it is important that all components are delivered on time and under the right conditions. You support the purchase of components for the projects where necessary. You work in a rapidly-changing environment in which a lot is asked of you in order to discover, take initiative and make independent decisions. All this is in close collaboration with your colleagues from other departments. You report to the manager. Experience with purchasing within the technical sector is therefore important.
